We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, truth without error, clear and powerful in its message, sufficient for all of our needs, and final authority for faith and life.
We believe in the triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — Who is holy, loving, good, wise and almighty; Who has created all things by His Word out of nothing, Who sustains, provides for and rules all things, Who is our only redeemer and Who will judge all people.
We believe that God created men and women in His image and likeness for fellowship with Himself and to carry out the creation mandates—demonstrating the unique and exclusive relationship between one man and one woman within the covenant of marriage; that Adam and Eve sinned and that by their disobedience the entire race was alienated from God, depraved and totally lost.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who added full humanity to His perfect deity, obeyed God perfectly, died for our sins on the cross, rose again to defeat Satan and returned to heaven to pour out the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and to intercede for His people.
We believe that the triune God has provided a great salvation for those who repent of their sins and trust Christ and His finished work; that He calls, regenerates, justifies, forgives, adopts, sanctifies, keeps and will glorify them.
We believe in the Holy Spirit Who has been sent to complete and perfect in us all of the works that Jesus did for us. He convicts of sin, regenerates, sanctifies us, gifts us for ministry and assures us of our salvation.
We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection and final judgment of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost.
What to Expect
We consider it our privilege to welcome you to Fellowship Reformed Church. The following information serves as a brief snapshot regarding each of our worship services. However, if you have specific or additional questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Shawn at email@example.com.
You may enter the church through the door nearest your parking location. But please note: doors "A" and "D" are handicap-accessible and barrier free; an elevator is located immediately inside door "A."
Inside the church, you can anticipate a handshake and a smile from one of our many identified greeters. They will be able to assist you with any of your questions or needs. Furthermore, they will be able to direct you to our Information Center; it provides our latest church publications and is staffed by a friendly volunteer.
We love children! And, if you have young toddlers or a baby requiring a nursery, we are ready to help you. Our volunteer nursery staff are fully credentialed and verified for the safety and security of your children. You will also be provided with a personal pager that will vibrate and alert you if you are needed by your child during a service. As you enter the Sanctuary, an usher will gladly take you to a seat of your choice. We have seating on the ground level--as well as in the balcony. Please choose a location that best fits your needs--and the needs of your family.
Some folks wonder what they should wear in worship. We believe that God looks beyond our personal attire--and is most interested in our hearts. But, as you look around the Sanctuary, you will see people dressed in suits, business casual attire, jeans, shorts, and even t-shirts. Remember--your heart and your attitude matter the most to God.
Worship is an expression of our loving relationship with God. We are joined to celebrate His love for us--and His care and concern for our lives. He is our Heavenly Father!
As we worship our Father, we enjoy a full spectrum of music, having both traditional hymns as well as brand new songs. Every selection points us to the truth of Scripture.
Prayer is our conversation with God--through the power of the Holy Spirit. We praise Him. We confess our sins and failures, our weaknesses and needs. We pray and count our blessings. Prayer is an opportunity to bring our specific experiences immediately to God.
Within worship, we always focus upon God's Word: the Bible. We read it, study it, and personally and practically apply it to our lives. We believe God's Word has authority in our lives.
During our worship, we also receive an offering. As a guest, please allow the offering plate to pass by you. However, as members, we bring a tithe or an offering. We give back to God a portion of what He has generously given to us.
Following the service, please join us in the lobby. It's a great time to look for familiar faces. It's also a great time for church staff to connect with you and to answer any of your questions. We also have coffee and tea available for those who might enjoy a beverage.
Still have questions? Great! Feel free to contact Pastor Shawn at firstname.lastname@example.org or 669-1213 x105.
