Director of Adult Education and Discipleship
Jim is director of Adult Education and Discipleship. His duties include the recruitment, oversight and training of teachers and leaders for all the adult ministries, developing curriculum, writing lesson plans, teaching classes, establishing and directing annual church-wide themes, fostering and encouraging discipleship in every phase of the ministry of FRC. Prior to his employment at Fellowship, Jim spent 40 years as an educator and football coach. A graduate of Hope College (Majors in English and Kinesiology), Jim earned his Master’s Degree in Administration from Western Michigan University. Jim and his wife, Karen, have three children and nine grandchildren. Jim is a life-long athlete who loves to work out, bike, sail, play golf, and spend time “competing ” with his wife, kids and grandkids.
I’m blessed to have the opportunity serve the Lord here at Fellowship. It’s a joy every day to work with this wonderful staff. Proverbs 16:3 reads: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” I pray that I may “die to myself every day” in order to commit all of my efforts to doing God’s will.
