6th-8th Grade | Sundays Youth Room | 5:00-6:30P

New Life Youth Ministry is open for all 6th through 8th-grade students. New Life Youth Ministry exists to reach students for Christ who reach their peers for Christ. Our programming includes Live Gatherings, Home Groups, Sunday School, and Events. All of which help students experience Jesus in powerful ways, equipping them to reach others with the good news of the Gospel.

  • Live Gathering

    • New Life meets from 5:00-6:30P in the Youth Room every Sunday of each month except Home Group nights. During our time together we will play games, study God’s Word together through interactive teaching, and apply God’s Word to our lives through Small Groups (same grade/gender groups of 5-8).

    Home Groups

    • Home Groups meet from 5:00-6:30P twice over the year in place of the Live Gathering. Students will meet in their Small Groups at a leader’s or host family’s home. During this time Small Groups will engage in different challenges, serve together, and have fun together.

    Sunday School

    • 6th-7th Grade meets in Room 027 on Sunday mornings from 9:50-10:40A. During this time, students will be learning and discussing the foundational truths of Christianity.

    • 8th Grade meets in Room 034 along with 9th Grade on Sunday mornings from 9:50-10:40A. Students will learn about worldwide missions while studying the book of Acts.

    Events

    • Throughout the year we do various events including a late-nighter, retreat, service projects, a theme park, and Lead Camp. Everything we do in New Life is designed to reach students for Christ who reach their peers for Christ.

New Life Calendar

On Wednesday, July 22, at 6:00P, we are going thrifting! Bring $10 along and you’ll receive a Secret Santa name of someone else coming along as well as some things they like. You’ll have 30 minutes to find something they’d like, purchase it, and bring it back to church to wrap it. We’ll do a gift exchange and have a Christmas party back in the Youth Room until 9:00P. Thriftmas in July Registration

On Thursday, August 13, we are heading to Michigan’s Adventure. We’ll meet at church at 9:45A to pack a sack lunch, head to the park, eat, and enjoy two parks for the price of $40. On the way home, we’ll stop for pizza before arriving back at church at 8:00P. Sign up below if you’d like to attend!

Join us Sunday, August 30th from 1:00-4:00P to celebrate the start of a new youth ministry year. We’ll meet at 2597 Cedar West Dr. for a pool party and snacks. Bring friends and join us as we kick off a great year of New Life!

We cover what our core beliefs are and how they impact our lives.

8th & 9th Grade Students - Room 034
Students will get an up-close look at the Gospel according to Luke.

Underground

6th-12th Grade | Thursday | 3:00-5:00P | Sept-May

Students will enjoy a snack, play games, get help with homework, get to know other students, and hang out in the Youth Room and Gym. Students may be dropped-off and picked-up at Door F.

If students need a ride to Underground from school, that can be arranged by contacting Ally VanDerLaan at avanderlaan@frchudsonville.org. All students using our transportation will be required to have a completed Parental Consent Form on file prior to boarding the bus or van.
